MEET YOUR GUIDE

Ashton Johnson

My name is Ashton Johnson, and I’m the owner and guide behind Blueprint BassN Guide Service. I’m 20 years old, born and raised in North Georgia, and fishing has grown from something I simply loved doing into one of the biggest parts of my life.

I’ve spent countless hours on the water learning how fish move, how they react to changing conditions, and how to consistently find and catch them throughout the year.

I especially enjoy the challenge of targeting spotted bass, stripers, and hybrids on deep, clear reservoirs like Carters Lake, where understanding electronics, bait movement, seasonal patterns, and fish behavior can make all the difference.

But Blueprint BassN was never created just to take people fishing.

I started this guide service because I genuinely enjoy teaching people how to become better anglers. When you fish with me, I want you to understand why we’re fishing a certain area, why I chose a particular bait, what I’m seeing on the electronics, and what the fish are telling us.

Whether you’re picking up a rod for the first time or you’re an experienced tournament angler wanting to improve with forward-facing sonar, I want you to leave my boat knowing more than you did when you stepped aboard.

That’s a big part of what Blueprint BassN represents to me. Fishing doesn’t have one perfect formula, but there is a blueprint behind becoming a better angler: learning the water, understanding your electronics, recognizing patterns, making adjustments, and spending enough time on the water to put all those pieces together.

THE MEANING BEHIND THE MOTTO

Fish For More.

My personal motto is “Fish For More.”

To me, fishing has always been about more than the number of fish caught or the size of the one you’re holding in a picture. It’s about the people you meet, the memories you make, the lessons you learn, and the opportunities you have to make an impact on someone else.

My faith in Jesus Christ is an important part of who I am and how I try to live my life and operate my business. One of the verses that means the most to me is Matthew 4:19:

“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” — Matthew 4:19 KJV

That is what Fish For More represents to me.

Fish for more than a trophy.
Fish for more than a paycheck.
Fish for more than recognition.

Fish for the friendships. Fish for the memories. Fish for the opportunity to teach someone something new. Fish for the kid catching their first bass, the angler chasing a personal best, or the person who simply needs a good day on the water.

And above everything else, use the opportunities you’ve been given for something greater than yourself.

Fish For More means using my time on the water not only to share the knowledge I’ve gained through fishing, but also to share my faith and my love for Jesus with others.

If I can help someone become a better angler, make a memory they’ll never forget, or plant a seed that brings them closer to Christ, then the day was about far more than simply catching fish.

FISHING WITH BLUEPRINT BASSN

What You Can Expect Fishing With Me

Every person who steps into my boat has different goals. My job is to build the day around yours.

01

Everyone Is Welcome

You don’t have to be an experienced fisherman to book a trip with Blueprint BassN. I work with beginners, families, younger anglers, experienced fishermen, tournament anglers, and anglers wanting to improve with modern electronics.

02

Learn While You Fish

I don’t want you standing in the back of the boat watching me catch fish. I want you involved. I’ll explain what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, what I’m seeing on LiveScope, and what adjustments we need to make.

03

Your Goals Come First

Some days that means chasing a new personal best. Other days it means learning forward-facing sonar, understanding bait movement, improving a technique, or simply enjoying a great day with family or friends.

NEVER STOP IMPROVING

Always Learning

Even though I guide and spend a tremendous amount of time on the water, I still consider myself a student of fishing.

The sport is constantly changing. New electronics, techniques, baits, and information continue to change the way we locate and catch fish. That’s one of the things I love most about fishing— there is always something else to learn.

I also compete in tournament fishing, which pushes me to continue improving, experimenting, and learning how to make decisions under pressure.

The knowledge I gain from tournament fishing carries directly into my guide trips, and the amount of time I spend guiding keeps me connected to what the fish are actually doing throughout the season.

I want Blueprint BassN to continue growing alongside me—not only as a guide service, but as a place where anglers can learn, improve, and develop a deeper understanding and love for fishing.

At 20 years old, I know I have a long road ahead of me, and that excites me. I’m building this business one trip, one client, one lesson, and one relationship at a time.

YOUR DAY ON THE WATER

Come Fish With Me

If you decide to spend a day on the water with me, my goal is simple: give you a professional, welcoming experience, work hard to put you around fish, and help you leave the boat a better angler than when you arrived.

Because at the end of the day, we’re not just fishing for the next bite.

We Fish For More.
